Calum Orbell Can't believe this came out a whole year ago. An excellent first record. When i listen after a few drinks it still brings me to tears. I am particularly fond of the Screamy Hayman tracks (Jelly Kid and Ambidexerous) but this ep is all killer and no filler. You should give them as much money as you are able to help support an amazing band who are just starting out. Favorite track: Jelly Kid's Funeral.

WE LEFT OUR TROUBLES A HUNDRED-FIFTY MILES AWAY WE'RE DRINKING WINE OUT OF COCONUT CUPS FOR BREAKFAST! We fell asleep With our circuit boards intertwined We give each other things Like we're coin-operated And I want more than to project this oscillation We're sitting under the stars Then you told me that machines are beautiful Maybe that's all we are ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba BA BA BA
2.
I know you You're my mind I owe you One more time I SWEAR I'M NOT WAITING FOR YOU (Even though I've got the time) I can't remember when we stopped talking Or if we talked at all, yeah I can't remember when I started walking Or if I was there at all I can't remember when we stopped talking Or if we talked at all I SWEAR I'M NOT WAITING FOR YOU (Even though I've got the time) ALRIGHT! BACK AND FORTH AGAIN LIKE SHIPS IN THE NIGHT PLEASE CAN YOU JUST SPARE A MOMENT OF YOUR TIME (I owe you, oh) We can sit on the rocks Basking in each other Like we did that Summer (You're my mind) Time was never on our side But I'm doing fine I can't remember when I started walking Or if I was there at all

It's not bad I mean I'm trying to get by But getting by's harder when you're lying awake at NIGHT You can't tell this smile's electric My head's spinning off its axis This big top's set to burst But for the sake of the circus The show must go on

Cyborg cats do purr On the back of last night's endeavours The sofa brings to light All the people who aren't together Statements thrown at targets In places that never bothered Sleep talks louder than daylight Where proud tongues just melt to water WATCH YOUR BACK HEART ATTACK This is the graveyard where our brain cells go to die It's not so bad here... really No-one's an island but my natives ask me why I don't enjoy sobriety Whoa, sorry, wasn't being rude I just forgot to be kind Nice to meet you, I'm just tying my shoes, My friends have left me behind again Let's talk away the tension While saying nothing at all Let's talk to get attention I've got you in my thrall This is not an intervention BA BA, BA BA BA Whoa, sorry, wasn't being rude I just forgot to be kind Nice to meet you I'm just tying my shoes, My friends have left me behind again

Smart Lady 04:38
And that's when my eyes opened I'm lying on my front Frost on the ground I swept a pattern So I could Create something with my morning The air is crisp and damp I taste it I fight with it Follow the fox of light You know when it feels right Nobody's here but suits and ghosts And a boy wearing flippers WAKE UP FOX TIME TO GO WAKE UP FOX TIME TO GO CORN FLAKE SMILE EYES OPEN YOU. DON'T NEED. AN ALARM CLOCK. Follow the fox of light You know when it feels right Nobody's here but suits and ghosts And a boy wearing flippers 5am (WAKE UP FOX) Once again (TIME TO GO) 5am (CORN FLAKE SMILE) Once again (EYES OPEN) (AND DON'T BE LATE AGAIN) The pressure only sleeps when I do And it creeps into my dreams like a centipede I wake with the sun I've got to go home Things have to get done I'm dragging my bones I'll sleep when I'm dead It's out of my hands I'm ageing too fast I can't stay in bed FROST ON THE GROUND I SWEPT A PATTERN FIGHT WITH THE PRESENT OF YESTERDAY'S MATTERS And so the struggle continues Waking up every morning Telling myself there's a light at the end of the tunnel And I just haven't seen it yet And I'm sweating it Waking up with a self-proclaimed sense of purpose REPEAT IT REPEAT IT REPEAT IT REPEAT IT OH!
